[edit] What is Multimedia

By today's standards, Multimedia has taken on expanded meaning due to the huge digital explosion. Now we can upload and access digital video files at You Tube, Teacher Tube, and the many other video sites. iTunes has revolutionized the digital music industry. We are sharing more digital files than ever.

So why don't we share these resources with our students! Multimedia in the classroom can be the use of film, video, and music in the classroom as a way to convey the content to students. Through the multimedia department, you have several different types of multimedia at your fingertips. Some you may access via your computer. Others will be delivered to you via BOCES courier.

No matter the method, multimedia allows for you to reach all learning styles. Let's face it, 80% of us are visual learners. Why not use digital images to introduction, reinforce, or culminate content with visual content.
