How To Create A Business Card That People Will Surely Keep?
If you’ve ever been to a networking event, you know sometimes it looks a bit like a ticker-tape parade. People shove business cards in your face and expect just getting you their information should be enough to make you want to do business with them. Most likely, once you got back to your home or office, you sorted through that stack of business cards and threw half of them away immediately.
If you invest in business cards for your business, you certainly don’t want your cards to meet that same fate. So, it is important to design your business cards so that people will want to keep them, instead of filing them in the trash.
What Information Does Your Card Need?
Shockingly enough, some business card users get so distracted trying to create a card that looks good that they forget to include the most important information. Make sure to include your name, company name, your title, your phone numbers (office and mobile), your email and your company website. A photo included will make your business card better and professional-looking. If your business is one where customers come to your location, you should also include your address.
But don’t stop there. You should also include a benefit statement of some sort – a reason the people you give your cards to should contact you. If your company has a tagline, include that, of course – but go one step ahead and think of something you can offer people who contact you.
Maybe you should create a free report, offer a free consultation, provide a discount on services or products, or something similar that would both be valuable to your contact and be easy for you to provide. The goal is to use your business cards to attract new customers. So, make sure you offer them something appealing enough to make them pick up the phone or visit your website.
